OM GROUP CAPITALIZES ON YEAR OF AWARD-WINNING GROWTH WITH STRATEGIC NEW HIRE October 1, 2020

Reston, VA (October 1, 2020) – OM Group Inc. expanded its senior management staff today with the hiring of Aaron Tilock for the newly created position of Vice President of Strategic Growth. The hire comes on the heels of OM Group’s recognition this year for its rapid growth by landing spots on both the Inc. 5000 and Washington Technology Fast 50 lists.

“This is our first senior management hire since we hired our Chief Technology Officer Mahesh Srinivasan more than three years ago,” Sangita Subramanian, Chief Operating Officer, said. “Aaron has consulted with us on business development this past year, and served as the Program Manager (PMO) for our Air Force SBEAS contract. When we decided to expand our senior staff, we knew Aaron would be a great fit.”

Sowmya Hariharan, Chief Executive Officer, said, “OM Group’s growth has been steady since we entered the government IT space in 2015 with only five team members and $300,000 in sales. Today, we employ more than 90 people with revenue topping $18 million. As we continue to grow at a rapid pace, we need someone who can help us optimize our business development processes in order to identify and proactively position us for future growth opportunities. ”

Aaron started his career with a foundation in government contracting as a Contracting Officer with the U.S. Department of Defense. He went on to work with a wide range of contracting firms, many of which were women-, minority- and/or disabled veteran-owned business, to help grow their companies.

“As the Vice President of Strategic Growth, I will implement and oversee the execution of the tools, processes and strategies that will lead to OM Group’s continued growth,” Aaron said. “I’ve spent my career in the defense and national security space, and I am excited to be a part of a team so focused on bringing enabling technologies to those who defend and protect our nation.”
