Reston, VA (March 18, 2021) – Speaking Out Against Racism and Violence
We have been watching with increasing concern the rise in racist sentiment and discrimination against members of the Asian community and Asian-owned businesses over the past year. The escalation of violence and the brutal attacks in Atlanta are a result of this hate.
Today, through our OMGives initiative, we would like to add our support for two organizations that are in the forefront to provide solutions to create meaningful change in our communities
We hope that this concrete action is one of the ways OM Group can contribute to the movement to combat racial bias, discrimination and violence against minorities.
Nine months ago, we sent out a letter to all our employees. That letter is below - every word in that letter rings as true today as it did then. We hope by speaking up and raising awareness, we can affect change in our society and our country!
As always, if you have specific concerns or feel targeted, please reach out to us directly. You can also talk to your managers, HR or use our Employee Resource Programs to discuss your concerns.
